Are tomatoes good for diabetes?
« on: December 22, 2022, 09:56:29 AM »
Tomatoes consists of 4g of carbs only. This means they do not pose any risk to your sugar levels. Hence, they are safe to be consumed in diabetes. But, if you have a certain kidney disease along with the diabetes, then I would recommend you to not have tomatoes. It is rich in calcium and oxalate which aren’t easily broken down with an impaired kidney. Rest aside, if your kidneys are working perfectly, you should not hesitate eating tomatoes.
