Cashews are a good source of zinc, magnesium, potassium and iron. It helps in improving appetite, focus and attention when taken in the correct quantity. Excess consumption of cashews might lead to adverse health effects.

In most of the shops we get only roasted cashews. We don’t really get to see raw cashews or cashews with shell.

Raw cashews are unsafe as they contain poison Ivy and Sumac. Shell of the cashews contains an oil which on consumption leads to itchy skin and skin rashes.

On roasting the nuts all the toxic compounds and allergic oil gets destroyed. Hence it is always good and safe to have roasted cashews when compared to raw cashews.
