First of all it is important to know which blood glucose level is this. Is it fasting or Average blood glucose?

Blood glucose in fasting or average at 230 is high but that does not mean it is dangerous or cannot be controlled. It can be high due to any reason, can be possible that you had something before checking the levels or if it all you did in fasting that can also be because you were on fast for more than 10 hours. If it was high just a day or two which can be due to sudden change in eating or lifestyle but if it persists you should get in contact with a Medical specialist Dietitian who can help you bring it down.

I had an experience of a patient with Average blood glucose with 358 which came down to 230 and then below 200 with a proper diet and suggested exercise.
